13 -23 May 2017 (Friesian Cottage) We have enjoyed our vacation in your beautiful cottage. Very quiet and wonderful surroundings to walk with the dog. We have made trips to Hastings, Eastbourne and took the train to visit London. The Severn Sisters were a wonderful experience and also Brighton. Then back again to the peace and quiet in and around the cottage. Many thanks for the warm welcome, the flowers and basket with wine. All in all we’ve had a very pleasant stay on our first trip to Britain. It was all we could have wished for. Will certainly not be the last time we visit David many thanks. 22nd - 29th Aug 2015Very pleasant, nicely converted buildings. We had an enjoyable stay despite the weather!Recommend the woodland walk, lots of places to goto.
a shower screen in the bathroom would be a helpful improvement.
Giggling at the hourly MOO of funny feisty shorthorn 'COO' we sing of sumptious Sussex tyre, the mellow brick-backed cheering fire. Cross beamed white painted lofty walls and forest green that never palls, with stable doors of rustic look and comfy sofas for a book. Convenient kitchen/dinning space and tongue and groove is always ace. Old Castles, Abbeys, lanes and pier, to say farewell we shed a tear. Thank you for this great holiday wer're all so pleased we came to stay.
We have had a lovely week staying in this cottage, with brilliant weather each day. The cottage is superbly equipped and exceeded expectations (the website photos don't do it justice). We have been to Hastings, Battle, Eastbourne, Bluebell railway and Sheffield Park, with the latter two being reccommended for day trips. We did the walk around the farm, spotting various wildlife and feeling like the famous 5 at times! We have had some lovely meals out this week at the Black Duck, The Horse and Groom, The plough and Brewers Arms (Vines Cross) with the latter being highly recommended. We would definitley recommend this cottage for a relaxing break.
We spent a lovely week in your wonderful cottage! We hope to return someday
David, thanks for the warm welcome and the help with the tv remote so that we could watch the Olympic matches here. It feels a bit like home coming since it's our 3rd visit to these nice cottages. This time we enjoyed visiting the London 2012 olympic games, a really special event.
The cottage is beautiful, well equiped and spotless. a warm welcome from David and the bottle of wine was a lovely extra touch. Complete peace which is just what we needed. Central to many places of interest. We have been very lucky with the weather, although a couple of evenings were cool enough to light the fire, very cosy!! We willmiss "Daisy" popping out every hour to say hello; but we hope to be back to visit again next year. Hope your stay is as enjoyable as ours has been. Thank you David and Jo.
Cottage just right for what we wanted. Thanks for the welcome basket & flowers. Wood burner made cooler evenings very cozy. Hope to return sometime. Love the clock.
